Which size do I need (DN15 / DN20 / DN25)?
DN15 (½″/15mm) — individual taps, basins, toilet supply. DN20 (¾″/20mm) — branch feeds, geyser supply, garden mains. DN25 (1″/25mm) — house main supply pipe. Measure your pipe or check your existing valve markings.
How is it powered?
DC 5V via USB. You'll need a USB power adapter (phone charger works) near the valve. The motor only draws power during the 18-second open/close cycle, so power consumption is very low.
Can it auto-close on a water leak?
Yes! Pair with an eWeLink water immersion sensor. Create a scene in the eWeLink app: "When water sensor detects leak → close valve." The valve closes automatically even if you're not home.
Does it work during load shedding?
The valve requires 5V USB power. During load shedding it won't respond to commands. However, you can set the power-on state to "closed" — so when power returns, the valve stays shut until you manually reopen it. This prevents leaks during unmonitored power restoration.
Can I still operate it manually?
Yes — there's a physical button on the valve. Touch it to open/close without your phone. Useful during setup or WiFi outages.
Is a plumber needed for installation?
For main water supply installation, we recommend a qualified plumber. The valve installs inline (cut pipe → install valve with threaded fittings). For garden taps or individual supply lines, DIY is straightforward.
Can I use it for gas?
The product is suitable for gas pipelines as well. Ensure proper gas-rated fittings and sealing. A registered gas installer is recommended for gas line installations.
