How do I use it for a gate/garage door?
Connect the MINI-D's NO and COM terminals to your gate motor's trigger/wall-switch terminals. Power the MINI-D from the gate motor's 12V battery (DC+ and DC-). In the eWeLink app, enable Inching Mode with a short pulse (e.g., 0.5 seconds). Now tapping the app button or saying "Hey Siri, open the gate" sends a pulse — just like pressing the physical remote button.
Can I power it from my gate motor battery?
Yes. The MINI-D accepts DC 12–48V. Most SA gate motors have a 12V or 24V backup battery, which is within range. Connect DC+ and DC- to the battery terminals.
What is a dry contact?
A dry contact is a relay that switches without supplying power to the load. The MINI-D's relay simply opens or closes a circuit — the load gets its power from a separate source. This makes it safe and versatile for gate motors, boilers, access panels, and other signal-based devices.
Does it work with Home Assistant?
Yes — via Matter (recommended for local control), eWeLink HACS integration, or SonoffLAN. Matter provides the most seamless integration with full local control.
Can I connect AC and DC at the same time?
No. You must choose either AC or DC input — never both simultaneously. The device has separate terminals for each.
What's the difference vs the SV Inching switch?
The MINI-D is newer, supports Matter, accepts AC or DC (12–48V), and has a proper NO/NC/COM dry contact. The SV Inching is older, WiFi-only (eWeLink), and accepts DC 5–24V. If you want Matter/Apple Home support or AC power, choose the MINI-D.
