Does the AI need a subscription?

No — detection runs on the camera itself. Recordings go to a microSD card or HomeKit Secure Video (your iCloud plan).

Wi-Fi or PoE version?

Wi-Fi = easiest install where a cable can't reach. PoE = one Ethernet cable carries power + network, ideal for new installs and UPS-backed switches. We stock both.

Is it a hub too?

Yes — it has a built-in Zigbee 3.0 hub, so Aqara sensors near it (gate contacts, outdoor motion) connect without a separate hub.
