Do I need a Zigbee hub?
For most uses, yes. In Zigbee mode, you need a coordinator (Dongle Max, ZBDongle-P/E, etc.) or a Zigbee bridge (ZB Bridge-P). In eWeLink-Remote mode, you need an NSPanel Pro or iHost. The exception is TouchLink — you can pair directly with compatible Zigbee lights without any hub.
How many actions can I configure?
16 total. The button has 4 touch zones (buttons 1-4), and each zone supports 4 action types: single press, double press, triple press, and long press. That's 4 × 4 = 16 unique triggers you can map to different scenes or devices.
What's the difference between Zigbee and eWeLink-Remote mode?
Zigbee mode: Standard Zigbee 3.0 — works with Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, eWeLink app, and all standard Zigbee hubs. Battery lasts 4+ years. eWeLink-Remote mode: Proprietary protocol for ultra-low-latency local control with NSPanel Pro or iHost only. Battery lasts ~2 years. Switch between modes via a physical toggle under the battery cover.
Does it work with Home Assistant?

What is TouchLink?
TouchLink lets you pair the button directly with a compatible Zigbee light (like Philips Hue or IKEA bulbs) without needing a hub. Hold the button close to the light, press and hold until the LED stays solid, and they pair directly. Great for simple on/off control with zero latency.
How long does the battery last?
4+ years in Zigbee mode, ~2 years in eWeLink-Remote mode (based on 50 presses per day at room temperature). Uses a standard CR2477 coin cell — easy and inexpensive to replace.
How does it mount?
Three options: (1) Magnetic — snaps to any metal surface or the included square base. (2) Adhesive — 3M pad on the square base sticks to walls. (3) Screw mount — base screws into a wall or junction box. You can also just carry the round button as a portable remote.
Will my Zigbee scenes be erased if I switch modes?
No. Scenes are only deleted if you factory reset (hold reset button 5 seconds) or remove the device from your app. Switching between Zigbee and eWeLink-Remote mode preserves your configured scenes.
