SONOFF wall switches and inline switches with an RF receiver (such as the TX T1/T2/T3 and Basic RFR2) learn any button for a physical remote next to the bed.

Dimmers

On SONOFF RF-capable dimmers the buttons can be mapped to on/off and brightness steps for app-free dimming.

Pairing tip: On the device, hold the pairing (SET) button until the LED flashes or the buzzer sounds, then press the remote button you want it to learn. Repeat for each button. To wipe all learned codes, hold the device pairing button for about 10 seconds. Full steps are in each device's manual.

Check for an RF receiver first. This remote only works with SONOFF devices that have a 433MHz RF receiver (model names usually include "RF" or, like the iFan04 and 4CH Pro R3, list "433MHz RF" in their specifications). WiFi-only devices such as the BASIC R4, MINI R4 and the T6 TX Gen2 touch switches do not respond to RF remotes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this work with the eWeLink app?

The remote itself does not connect to WiFi or the app. It sends RF signals straight to the device. The device can still be controlled from eWeLink at the same time; the two work side by side.

Can one remote control more than one device?

Yes. Each button has a unique code. Let the iFan04 learn buttons 1 to 4 and the 4CH Pro R3 learn buttons 5 to 8, for example.

Does it work with the BASIC R4 or MINI R4?

No. Those are WiFi-only switches without an RF receiver. For a physical button on those, use the SONOFF R5 scene remote (eWeLink-Remote) instead.

Is the wall base included?

No. The RM433 wall-mount base is sold separately. The remote also works fine as a handheld.

What is the range?

Typically 20 to 30 metres indoors. Brick walls, metal ceilings and distribution boards reduce it. For gate motors mounted in a steel enclosure, keep the 4CH Pro R3 antenna clear of the metal.

Which battery does it take?

One 12V A23 battery, included in the box. Available at most hardware and electronics stores.
