⚠️ Dry Contact = No Power Output: The relay contacts only open/close a circuit — they don't supply power to the load. That isolation is exactly what makes it safe for gate motor triggers, garage openers and mixed-voltage switching.

What's the difference between Shelly 1 and 1PM?

The Shelly 1 has an isolated dry contact output and no power metering — ideal for gates, garages and switching separate circuits. The 1PM switches the same circuit that powers it and adds power metering.

Can it open my gate?

Yes — that's one of its most popular uses. Wire the dry contacts across your gate motor's trigger input and use a short auto-off timer to simulate a button press.

Zigbee or WiFi — do I have to choose?

The device runs in one mode at a time, selected before pairing: WiFi/Matter mode, or Zigbee mode with your existing coordinator.
