❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Does it include a switch or socket?

No. The EWPB is an enclosure only. The SONOFF Fusion Series switch or socket is sold separately and installs inside the box.

Is it waterproof when a plug is inserted?

No. The IP65 rating only applies when the cover is fully closed. When the cover is open (e.g. with a plug inserted into a socket), the enclosure is not sealed.

Can I use it in a shower room?

Not recommended. Prolonged use in high-temperature, high-humidity environments like bathrooms or steam rooms is not suitable. Designed for outdoor and semi-outdoor applications.

Does it work with the Fusion Orb Socket?

Yes, but the cover must remain open when using the Orb Socket, so IP65 protection does not apply in that configuration.

Will any switch fit, or only Fusion Series?

The EWPB is specifically designed for the SONOFF Fusion Series only. It will not fit other SONOFF switches (M5, TX Ultimate, etc.) or third-party switches.
