🔧 Motor Compatibility

The MINI-RBS works with 4-wire AC motors (neutral, live, forward, reverse) and 5-wire AC motors (+ ground). Maximum motor current is 1A. This covers most standard tubular roller shutter motors. If your motor's forward and reverse wires are swapped, you can correct the direction in software — no rewiring needed.

⚠️ Professional installation recommended. This device connects to mains wiring (100–240V AC) and must be installed by a qualified electrician. Do not touch terminals while powered on. An MCB or RCBO rated at 1A should be installed upstream.

Will it work with my roller shutter motor?
If your motor is a 4-wire or 5-wire AC motor drawing up to 1A, yes. This covers most standard tubular roller shutter motors. Check your motor's datasheet for current draw — if it's under 1A, you're good to go.
Does it support Apple Home / HomeKit?
Yes. The MINI-RBS supports Matter, which means it works natively with Apple Home (Siri), Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, and Home Assistant — all from the same device.
Can I still use my wall switch?
Yes. Connect your existing three-position rocker or momentary switch to the S1/S2 terminals. The physical switch works alongside app and voice control.
How accurate is the percentage positioning?
After calibration (automatic or manual), positioning is accurate to within a few percent. The "Extra Time" feature automatically corrects for motor drift over long-term use, keeping positioning precise.
Can the motor run for more than 2 minutes?
No. For safety, the MINI-RBS automatically stops the motor after 2 minutes of continuous operation to prevent overheating. This is a built-in protection feature.
Does it work with Home Assistant?
Yes — via Matter integration, eWeLink HACS integration, or SonoffLAN. All support position control (0–100%). Matter provides the most standardised integration.
What is the ERBS enclosure?
The ERBS (Roller Shutter Wall Switch Enclosure) is a dedicated wall-mount accessory that houses the MINI-RBS with a built-in physical switch. Available for pre-order. Requires a junction box with at least 30 mm depth.
Can I use it with the R5 scene controller?
Yes. The MINI-RBS has a built-in eWeLink-Remote Bluetooth gateway. Pair it with a wireless SONOFF R5 scene controller for local control up to 100 m — more stable than RF remote control.
