🏠 Perfect For

🏠

Older Homes (No Neutral)

Most older SA homes don't have a neutral wire at the light switch. Install the included capacitor at the light fitting and wire the switch with live only. No rewiring needed.

🏗️

New Builds & Renovations

If your electrician has run a neutral to the switch box, wire directly without the capacitor. The sleek glass panel gives a modern, premium look to any room.

🎨

Style-Conscious Homes

Choose from 4 face plate colours — white (included), black, silver, or gold. Match your décor without changing the switch. Face plates clip on and off in seconds.

🗣️

Voice-Controlled Lighting

"Hey Google, turn off the lounge lights." Works with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri Shortcuts for hands-free control throughout your home.

⚠️ No-Neutral Wiring Note: When installing without a neutral wire, the included capacitor must be fitted at the light fitting end (between live and neutral going to the light), not at the switch. This ensures stable operation with LED loads. See wiring diagrams in the product images for details.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work without a neutral wire?

Yes. A capacitor is included in the box. Install it at the light fitting (between live and neutral at the light end). The switch itself only needs a live wire. This makes it compatible with older SA homes that don't have a neutral at the switch box.

What app does it use?

The Tuya Smart or Smart Life app (they're the same platform). Free on iOS and Android. This is not eWeLink — it's a different ecosystem. If your other devices are on Tuya/Smart Life, this switch integrates seamlessly.

Can I change the face plate colour later?

Yes. The switch ships with a white face plate. Black, silver, and gold face plates are sold separately and simply clip on/off. You can change colours any time without rewiring.

Will it work with LED downlights?

Yes. It works with LED, CFL, and incandescent loads. For no-neutral installations with LEDs, the included capacitor prevents flickering and ghost glow when the switch is off.

What's the difference between this and SONOFF wall switches?

This switch uses the Tuya / Smart Life app ecosystem. SONOFF wall switches use the eWeLink app. Both are WiFi-based. Choose based on which ecosystem your other devices are on, or which app you prefer. This switch also supports Bluetooth in addition to WiFi.

Does it fit SA wall boxes?

This is a UK-size switch. It replaces UK-style light switches commonly found in South African homes. Check your existing switch plate dimensions before ordering.
