⚡ Key Features

  • 1-Channel Dry Contact Relay — one independent relay output (NO/COM/NC); switches connected loads without providing power (the relay is a switch, not a power source)
  • Inching Mode (Momentary) — relay closes briefly (~0.7s) then auto-opens; perfect for triggering gate motors, garage door openers, and electric locks that need a quick pulse
  • Self-Locking Mode — relay stays on/off until toggled; use for lights, pumps, or any device that needs sustained on/off control
  • Zigbee Protocol — connects via Zigbee to your hub (eWeLink, Tuya, Philips Hue Bridge); acts as a Zigbee router to extend your mesh network
  • 433MHz RF Remote — also supports pairing with 433MHz RF key fobs for local control without a phone or Zigbee hub
  • Dual App Support — works with both eWeLink and Tuya/Smart Life apps; choose your preferred ecosystem
  • Wide Voltage Input — powered by 5–32V DC or 90–260V AC (powers the board only; the relay output is a dry contact)
  • Voice Control — Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant via eWeLink or Tuya integration
⚠️ Important: Dry Contact Relay — No Power Output!
The relay outputs are dry contacts (NO/COM/NC). The power supply input (DC or AC) only powers the circuit board — it does NOT pass through to the relay output. You connect the relay contacts to your gate motor's trigger terminals, lock release, or other external circuit. This is not a mains switching relay.

🏠 What Can You Control?

🚗

Gate Motors

Wire the dry contact across your gate motor's trigger terminals. In inching mode, one tap in the app sends a brief pulse — exactly like pressing the remote button. Open or close your gate from anywhere.

🏠

Garage Doors

Same principle as gate motors. The DC1's inching pulse triggers the garage door opener just like the wall button does. Control it from your phone, voice, or automation.

🔒

Electric Locks

Trigger electric strike locks or magnetic locks. Inching mode releases the lock briefly, then it re-locks automatically. Perfect for access control and visitor entry.

💡

Lights & Pumps

In self-locking mode, the relay acts as a standard on/off switch. Use it to control lights, irrigation pumps, or any device where you need sustained on/off via Zigbee.

🇿🇦 SA Gate & Garage Tip: Most South African gate motors (CENTURION, ET, GEMINI) and garage door openers have a pair of trigger terminals (usually labelled "TRIG" or "PB"). Wire the DC1's relay contacts (NO + COM) across these terminals. Set the DC1 to inching mode. Now you can open/close your gate from anywhere in the world via the eWeLink or Tuya app.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a Zigbee hub?
Yes — the DC1 is a Zigbee device and requires a compatible Zigbee hub. It works with eWeLink Zigbee hubs (like the ZB Bridge-P), Tuya Zigbee gateways, and even Philips Hue Bridge. It also supports Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA for Home Assistant users.
Can I use it without the app, just with the RF remote?
Yes — the DC1 supports 433MHz RF key fobs. You can pair an RF remote and use it for local control without any app, WiFi, or Zigbee hub. However, you lose the smart features (scheduling, voice control, remote access).
What's the difference between inching and self-locking?
Inching (momentary): relay closes briefly (~0.7s on DC1) then auto-opens. Use for gate/garage triggers that need a pulse. Self-locking: relay stays in the toggled state (on or off) until you change it. Use for lights, pumps, or anything that needs to stay on.
Will it work with my CENTURION / ET / GEMINI gate motor?
Yes — most SA gate motors have trigger terminals (TRIG/PB). Wire the DC1's NO and COM contacts across these terminals. Set to inching mode. The brief pulse triggers the motor exactly like pressing the gate remote.
